He completed Hifz at a young age under the guidance of well qualified Qurrā’. Thereafter, he pursued 10 years of in-depth study of Arabic, Qur’ānic sciences, Ahadīth, and Islamic law, and graduated from the renowned Islamic institution, Jāmiah Shar’iyyah, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

After graduating, he received the great opportunity to complete Dawrah Hadith (the final year of the ‘Alimiyyah degree) a second time at the largest Islamic university of the Indo-subcontinent, Dārul Uloom Deoband. Thereafter, he did a 2-year specialization in Islamic Jurisprudence & Iftā’ from Jāmi’ah Shar’iyyah, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

He has Ijāzah in the 6 books of Ahadīth – Bukhāri, Muslim, Tirmidhī, Nasā’ī, Ibn Mājah, and Abū Dāwūd, as well as Muwattā of Imām Mālik and Imām Muḥammad.

Islamic Education & Teaching

Mufti Moaz has over three years of formal teaching experience as an Islamic Studies and Qur’an Instructor at Darul Hikmah, Irving, Texas. He has taught Qur’an, Islamic Studies, and foundational religious subjects in structured academic environments, with a strong focus on Tarbiyah (character development), sound Aqeedah, practical Fiqh, and Islamic manners. His teaching approach emphasizes nurturing spiritually grounded, disciplined, and morally responsible students.

Imam & Community Religious Service

Mufti Moaz has served the Muslim community as an Imam at Keller Islamic Center (KIC) 3 years. His service has focused on leading congregational prayers, providing religious guidance, and supporting the spiritual needs of the community.

He brings over 20 years of experience leading Ramadan Taraweeh Salah, guiding communities through the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan with consistency, dedication, and adherence to Sunnah.

Founder & Principal – Islamic Institutions

Mufti Moaz is the Founder and Principal of Ummul Qura Islamic School & Tarteel Academy operating under Ummul Qura Islamic Foundation (UQIF). Under his leadership, the foundation has successfully established and operated a full-time Islamic School, Qur’an and Islamic Studies programs, and community-focused initiatives, including programs for mothers and families.

His responsibilities include academic oversight, curriculum planning, teacher leadership, institutional strategy, and community engagement, ensuring that Islamic values and educational excellence remain central to all programs.

Islamic Center Development

Mufti Moaz has played a key leadership role in the acquisition and establishment of an Islamic Center in Haltom City, Texas, through the purchase and conversion of a former church property. This effort reflects his experience in community mobilization, fundraising, institutional planning, and the development of sustainable religious and educational spaces for long-term community benefit.

Entrepreneurship & Business Experience

Alongside his religious and educational leadership, Mufti Moaz has a strong entrepreneurial background. He established and managed multiple business ventures beginning over 10–12 years ago, including experience in export–import operations.

Currently, he is involved in leading a software and technology company focused on developing education management systems and custom education software solutions. His work integrates modern technology with educational administration, helping institutions improve efficiency, transparency, and learning outcomes.

Community Counseling & Social Impact

Mufti Moaz is actively involved in community service and counseling, supporting individuals and families in resolving personal, marital, and social challenges. His work focuses on promoting family harmony, emotional well-being, and faith-based living through guidance grounded in the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Islamic principles.
