Shaikh Kareem Ibraheem serves as an Imam, Islamic Studies Instructor, and Qur’an teacher at Ummul Qura Islamic School. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies in English from the Faculty of Languages and Translation at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. His education spans the full Al-Azhar system—from elementary through university—where he studied and memorized numerous classical Islamic texts (mutoon), Hadith collections, Arabic literature, and key works in Fiqh, Aqidah, and Tafsir.
Shaikh Kareem brings over five years of experience as an online tutor specializing in Qur’an and Islamic Studies. He served as an Imam in Egypt from 2016 to 2023 and is currently the Imam of Keller Islamic Center in Texas, a position he has held since January 2023. Throughout his career, he has delivered khutbahs, lectures, and lessons in both Arabic and English to diverse audiences, covering a broad range of Islamic topics.
His areas of expertise include Qur’anic sciences, Hadith, classical Arabic, Fiqh, and Islamic theology. Shaikh Kareem is particularly passionate about reviving traditional Islamic knowledge and making it accessible to English-speaking communities, with a strong focus on engaging and nurturing Muslim youth. His teaching philosophy emphasizes cultivating a sincere love for the Qur’an and Sunnah, balancing traditional scholarship with modern teaching methods to foster spiritual growth and a strong Islamic identity in his students.
A native Arabic speaker and fluent in English, Shaikh Kareem also has academic training in linguistics and translation. He is currently pursuing advanced study in the sciences of Qur’anic recitation (`Ulūm al-Qirā’āt) and is able to recite in the Warsh narration. Insha’Allah, he plans to obtain formal Ijazah in the Ten Qira’at within the next two years. He has also completed one year and four months of national military service in the Egyptian Armed Forces.
