At Ummul Qura Islamic School, we value strong partnerships between parents and teachers to support the academic and spiritual development of our students. One of the key ways we foster this relationship is through our quarterly Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM), held after each term’s examinations.

 

During these meetings, parents have the opportunity to meet individually with their child’s homeroom teacher as well as all subject teachers, including:

•English

•Math

•Science

•Social Studies

•Qaa’idah/ Quran

•Islamic Studies

 

Parents can openly discuss their child’s academic performance, behavior, achievements, challenges, and overall progress. Teachers provide detailed feedback and the student’s report card, and together with the parents, they explore strategies for improvement in the upcoming quarter.

 

In addition, Maktab teachers (After-school Islamic education program) are also available during the PTM to discuss each child’s progress in Islamic learning and suggest ways for further enhancement both at school and at home.

 

To ensure a focused and private conversation, parents can select specific time slots to meet with each teacher. This scheduling system allows each family to speak with teachers one-on-one, without interruptions or waiting in line, creating a more effective and personalized experience.

 

Our goal is to ensure every student is nurtured holistically—with academic excellence and strong Islamic values. We strongly encourage all parents to attend each quarterly PTM to stay informed and involved in their child’s learning journey.
